Blogs are used throughout the world within fanciful the fanciful web pages like Facebook, Myspace and Twitter. One of the main beauties of these pages are the ability to truly feel the closeness to one of your idols. Many if not all famous idols, whether it’s anyone from a football player to a movie star, have one of these web pages devoted to them and for their fans.
Fans of any single person or group like to feel closeness to their idol. As for me, I love the musician known as Dallas Green who is the front man and foreman for the band City of Colour. He has a blog through Myspace that he catalogues all his thoughts and idea. If we as fans are paying a person millions of dollars due to his amazing musical creativeness, do we have a right to know more about this artist than just what he portrays through his lyrics and songs? I believe in general, it is up to the musical artist or idol to make up their own mind to whatever they want to do a blog or not. However, this lets fans know what to expect or to feel as through they are getting a personal view into this idols life. If you check out the blog from City and Colour on Myspace, he tells you that he is about the play SXSW, which is a huge music venue, played in Austin, Texas every year. He also let’s you know that if you are unable to make the actual concert of his, it will be filmed and showed live through a certain station. Without this personal inside wealth of knowledge, we as a fan may never know these types of things.
Blogs are an amazing way to get the inside exclusive peeks into your idols mind and news. They can still be used by nearly anybody, but personally I love following my idols thoughts and ideas. This may be the only way you can get to truly know the person who you love on television or stage.
